Dr. Lim joined AIF Capital in 1994 and has over 30 years of private equity investment, finance and industry experience. He has led teams in developing investment opportunities in the aquaculture, manufacturing, consumption, retail, finance, media, hospitality, medical services, logistics, transportation, steel, aluminium, cement, gas distribution, telecom, water and power sectors across Greater China, India, Australia, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and Mongolia. Dr. Lim represents AIF Capital on the boards of various portfolio companies. Prior to joining the Firm, he was with UBS in Hong Kong as well as Macquarie Bank and Credit Suisse First Boston in Australia as well as Pacific Power, Australia’s then largest electric utility and the General Electric Company in England. Dr. Lim holds a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Loughborough University of Technology, England and a first class honours degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Malaya, Malaysia. He was born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, Hainanese, Hokkien and Malay.
